Hello!

My name is Brittanna Roberts Kercher, and I’m so glad you found my art! I have been an avid artist for over 15 years, with my love of the arts really flourishing during high school. I went to Utah Valley University for my Bachelor's degree in Art Education, and have been teaching high school art for the past 3 years. I love working with the students, seeing them grow, be inspired, and create work that they are proud of. I started seriously pursuing my own art in 2024, and am so excited to continue seeing where my art practice takes me.

I am deeply inspired by nature, and have always gravitated towards landscape painting. I love the story it tells, the way the art can take you back to a memory, a place, a feeling. I create paintings that will pull you into the landscape itself for you to experience all the adventure and storytelling it has to offer.

Although I mostly paint landscapes, I also enjoy printmaking, creating altered artist books, and exploring abstract paintings.

I am especially inspired by the abstract expressionist movement, and although it doesn’t reflect much in my own work as a realistic landscape artist, I am always in awe of the works created by Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler, Clyfford Still, Joan Mitchell and more.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, our cat, and two dogs. I love going on outdoor adventures, baking, and Irish dancing! (go take a look at Wasatch Back Irish Dance- the studio my sisters and I started together!)
